What Inspired Me to Start This Business?
Background
I hold an MS in Professional Counseling and an MBA in Healthcare Systems Management from Grand Canyon University, as well as a BS in Management Information Systems from Metropolitan State University. Over the years, I have amassed over 25 years of business experience and a significant background in counseling, although I am no longer practicing as a therapist. My career has been dedicated to giving back to the community through program management, consultation, and personal and professional development.
Pivotal Moment
The pivotal moment that led me to pursue this path occurred in 2016. After updating my LinkedIn profile to reflect my decision to step away from a business I had been part of for over 15 years to complete my practicum for my master’s in psychology, I received a call from a small minority business owner. They needed assistance in organizational and leadership development. This serendipitous encounter highlighted a gap in the market for someone with my unique blend of business acumen and psychological expertise.
Recognizing the opportunity to make a significant impact, I founded C.A. Ellis & Associates, LLC. My goal was to help other professionals and business leaders create a synergy of work and play by merging business and psychology resources and tools.
